Dr. Jennifer Redfern, a board certified Optometrist in Missouri, completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Molecular Biology at Missouri State University and graduated, with Honors, from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She served on the Board of Trustees for the American Optometric Student Association for two years and was as a member of Beta Sigma Kappa, the international optometric honor society. Further education was completed at Washington University, John Cochran VA medical center, Children’s Hospital, and other clinics associated with the UM-St. Louis College of Optometry
Dr. Redfern has trained with the surgeons at Pepose Vision Institute and participates in the pre- and post-operative care of patients undergoing such surgical procedures such as Laser Vision Correction and cataract extraction. She is licensed to treat ocular disease and excels in the fitting of specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Redfern is actively involved in the implementation of new technology at Pepose Vision that provides patients with treatment options that are not readily available at most facilities. She holds a Tear Lab certification and is director of the lab. The Tear lab plays an instrumental role in the assessment and treatment of Dry Eye Syndrome. Along with all of the physicians at Pepose Vision, she shares in the great devotion and passion to provide the utmost care to our patients.
