Biography Dr. Mark Yates received his undergraduate degree for the University of Missouri St. Louis in 1986 and his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1990 from the UM-St. Louis School of Optometry. Internships during Optometry School included the Kansas City VA Medical Center emphasizing glaucoma Management and the State University of New York which was devoted to binocular vision abnormalities. While the majority of Dr. Yates’ practice is devoted to primary eye care his particular area of interest is cataract and refractive surgery comanagement. Fitting contact lenses and specialty lenses for keratoconus and irregular corneas is another area of interest. Dr. Yates is a member of the American Optometric Association and the affiliated state organizations, the Missouri and Illinois Optometric Associations
